THEY MADE IT!!!! Lang and Fritz paraded into Paris on Saturday – One of 85 cars to cross the finish line! According to the official rally report they’ve driven approximately 10,000 miles in just 32 days (with 5 “rest days”).
Lang’s daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter were there to welcome No. 19 to Paris. Lang told me on Saturday that he felt a little lost and laughed saying that it was a good thing his daughter was there to lead him around and tell him what to do. Both he and Fritz are well and looking forward to relaxing and spending a few days in Paris before returning to Iowa.

Here’s a video Lang found on YouTube of the cars arriving at the hotel in Paris. No. 19 is in there twice.
Their final time was 349 hours, 39 minutes and 48 seconds. They finished in 42nd place over all, with a rank of 19 in the Vintageant Category (pre 1941 model cars). They’ve earned the Bronze Medal. >see complete results
