FINISH LINE!!! Day 37 Saturday 16th Oct – Troyes to Paris (France) 203km
THEY MADE IT!!!! Lang and Fritz paraded into Paris on Saturday – One of 85 cars to cross the finish line! According to the official rally report they’ve driven approximately 10,000 miles in just 32 days (with 5 “rest days”). Lang’s daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter were there to welcome No. 19 to Paris. One last look…
For the past two years, Fritz and Lang have been preparing their car and themselves for the 2010 Peking to Paris Motor Challenge. Ready or not – it’s time for their 1929 Ford Model A to start its journey over to China. a short history of our Model A…
Lang and I wanted to know more about the history of our Model A Phaeton so we contacted Don Ross who sold us the car 2 years ago. Don put us in touch with Mike Worcester, of Dublin New Hampshire. Mike told us a story about how he restored the car. First he received the rolling chassis and the body separate. The body was in a million sheet metal parts and needed total restoration. The frame, engine and transmission had been restored, but Mike spent a lot more time on the frame and chassis parts before... (more...)
