I was lucky enough to be “Mission Control” for Fritz and Lang during their trip. From my perspective the most amazing part of their journey was the enormous variety. Vistas ranged from expansive desert and plains without even a tree to the horizon to lush green mountains. Their accommodations included single man tents, Mongolian yurts, 5 star hotels, a hotel lobby, and even a working sanitarium! They navigated some of the busiest cites and most remote desert trails. Interview with Tom Perry, The Des Moines Register
This morning I had the wonderful opportunity to listen in as Fritz and Lang were interviewed by Tom Perry with the Des Moines Register. Tom dug deep with questions about how Fritz and Lang became friends, possible hostile areas on the route, and safety precautions they planned to take while traveling.
